Transportation from Osh to Sary-Mogol

If you are traveling from Osh to Sary-Mogol, you have two main transportation options:

  1. Shared Taxi Services:
    • Operated by local drivers transporting passengers between Osh and Sary-Mogol.
    • The fare for a shared taxi ride is 500 KGS (approximately $6 per person).
    • These taxis depart from the Old Bus Station (Eski Avtovokzal) Google map location in Osh between 2:00 PM and 5:00 PM, depending on the number of passengers.
    • Upon arrival in Sary-Mogol, drivers drop off passengers at their requested locations.
  2. Private Taxi Rental:
    • You can also hire a private taxi for the entire journey at a cost of 3,500–4,000 KGS ($40–$45).
    • This provides a more comfortable and flexible travel option. (pick up at your place is available)

Transportation from Sary-Mogol to Osh

  • Taxis from Sary-Mogol to Osh operate daily and during the summer season, departing time stared between 6:00 AM and 7:00 AM. In winter time it is moved for later 8-9a.m
  • There is no official taxi stand in Sary-Mogol; therefore, drivers pick up passengers directly from their houses and go to old bus station in Osh (same place of departure)
  • If you are staying in a guesthouse, the host can reserve a seat for you in advance.
  • Important Note: When you arrive at the Old Bus Station in Osh, be aware that other taxis operate to nearby villages, such as Chong-Alay. If you mistakenly board a taxi heading there, you may be dropped off at the main road rather than at your final destination in Sary-Mogol. Additionally, the fare may be slightly higher.
  • Travel time:
    • Osh to Sary-Mogol: ~4 hours
    • Sary-Mogol to Osh: ~3 to 3.5 hours
  • The majority of shared taxis are right-hand drive Korean vehicles such as Honda Stepwagons.
  • If you prefer a more comfortable journey in an off-road vehicle (Jeep/SUV), you can rent one with or without a driver. Rental costs range between 8,000–10,000 KGS ($80–$120 per day), depending on the condition of the vehicle.

Transportation from Sary-Mogol to Tulpar-Kol

If you need transportation from Sary-Mogol to Tulpar-Kol, you can either arrange it through your guesthouse host or contact us directly for assistance.

  • Distance: 25 km (~1 hour drive)
  • Road Condition: Unpaved but well-maintained gravel road, accessible by all types of vehicles.
  • Transport Cost: 2,500 KGS in USD dollar 30$ (one-way) per vehicle (1-6 passengers per car). For larger groups, additional vehicles can be arranged.

Transportation Services from Tajikistan (Murghab) to Kyrgyzstan (Sary-Mogol & Osh)

If you are traveling from Murghab (Tajikistan) or along the Pamir Highway to Osh, we provide transportation from the  Bordobo–Kyzyl-Art border crossing  to various destinations in Kyrgyzstan.

Important Note:

  • The Pamir Highway and the road until Sary-Tash  are rough with muddy and dusty conditions.
  • Only high-clearance 4WD vehicles are suitable for this route.

Transportation Rates:

  • Kyzyl-Art to Tulpar-Kol: $130 (one-way)
  • Kyzyl-Art to Sary-Mogol: $100 (one-way)
  • Kyzyl-Art to Osh (direct): $150 (one-way)
  • Kyzyl-Art to Tulpar-Kol and then to Osh: $200 (one-way, with no additional charge for expecting days at Tulpar-Kol)
