The Alay trekking 9 days
Day 1
Start from Osh to Tulpar Kol lake
Departure from Osh, in the morning on the way stop for photo and enjoy view upon arrival in Sary-Mogol, lunch in Alay travel house in Sary-Mogol, driving(1hour) to Tulpar kol yurt camp.
Afternoon walk around the lakes. Night in Tulpar CBT yurt camp
Day 2. Walk to traveler’s pass 4140m (6hours total walking)
This walk-up to the Travellers' Pass of Lenin Peak or just until the best view of onion glade, it offers a challenging yet rewarding adventure through some of the most spectacular mountain scenery in Central Asia. Make sure to pack appropriately, including sturdy hiking boots, warm clothing, and lunch-box for the journey1
Begin the Trek: Once acclimatized, start your trek towards the Travelers’ Pass. The trail winds its way through rugged terrain, passing by glacial streams and alpine meadows. It started from Tulpar-Kol and total hiking is 6-7 hours (go and back) the altitude is 4120m. This involves taking short hikes to higher elevations and allowing your body to adjust to the thin air. Option: return from the onion glade (4hours round walking)
1.Enjoy the Views: Take some time to rest and soak in the breathtaking scenery from the pass. Capture photos, enjoy a snack, and reflect on the incredible journey you’ve undertaken.
2.Return Journey: After enjoying the views, begin your descent back to the base camp. Take it slow on the way down to prevent injuries and enjoy the scenery once again from a different perspective.

Day 3. Tulpar Kol- Bouke valley-Sary-Mogol (6hours walking 1h30min driving )
Tulpar-Köl – via panoramic view of Tuyuk
This route offers some of the most incredible scenery with views of about 40 lakes. You will also see a breathtaking view of the entire Alai Valley.
For those unable to climb higher altitudes, an alternative path leads through the lower parts, following roads to the shepherd’s yurt in the Tuyuk Canyon. From there, enjoy a short walk to the charming view of the canyon and the snow-capped peaks of Pik Latvia (6,218 m) and Pik Estonia (6,202 m).
The panoramic peak is at 4100 meters above sea level, and the peak itself, from which you can see the entire Tulpar-Kol lake, is at 4080 meters. The vertical position is not very steep, but you will have to climb to 3375 meters (without equipment) then descend to 6700 meters to the main canyon, and after lunch the hiking continues to Kashar (shepherd’s hut), From there, you’ll be picked up by car and returned to Sary-Mogol.
Day 4. Sary-Mogol to Trekking camp
Today we continue our trekking in north range of Allay valley (Trans-Alay). From Sary-Mogol to trailhead we go by car (1h) then trekking starts it is going to be bit taught trek because we go up to the pass called Sary-Mogol pass (4280 meters) and Besh-Kol lake. Our daily route takes for 6-8 hours of walking up in rocky path. At the top of the pass we enjoy the stunning scenery of Besh-Kol lakes. Then keeping the way to other
side until the yurt camp.
Day 5. Сamp of Sary-Mogol to Koshmoinok (6hours)
Head east following the river and slightly descending to the end of the beautiful mountain gorge. Enjoy grandiose views of the Kichik Alay or Trans Alay mountain range, at first we cross a small village under Sary-Mogol further direction of travel turns to the right on the dirty auto road after 2-3 hour we reach a small village Kyzyl-Chara and stop here for lunch in home stay then forward go on to yurt camp in Koshmoinok.
Day 6. Koshmoinok to Kojo-Kelen village (6hours)
We will begin next day of the trek on the slopes of the beautiful Cretaceous mountains of Kichik-Alay, straightaway we cross the pass of Sary-Bel (3150m) stunning rocks, amazing view of natural creation and go down to the guesthouse in the Kozho-Kelen
village. overnight in home stay.
Day 7. Kojo-Kelen village to Jiptik yurt camp (6hours)
Our morning hike starts along the dirty auto road of Zhyptik gorge and walk follows the cleanest main source of the Ak-Buura River (the famous river that provides all Osh residents with water) the route rises a little, we feel the ascent to the yurt camp before the Dzhiptik pass
Day 8. Jiptik yurt camp to Sary-Mogol (6hours;1 hour drive)
The Jiptik Pass, standing at an elevation of approximately 4,185 meters above sea level, is a thrilling route for adventure enthusiasts. Crossing the pass offers breathtaking views of the Alay Valley, surrounding peaks, and the dramatic landscapes of the Pamir-Alay mountains.
- The Ascent: The climb to the pass is steep but manageable for those with good physical fitness. The trail winds through rugged terrain, alpine meadows, and rocky paths.
- The Summit: At the top, you’ll be rewarded with panoramic views of snow-capped peaks, including Pik Lenin (7,134 m), and the vast expanse of the valley below.
- The Descent: The trail descends into greener landscapes, eventually leading toward lower elevations with easier walking paths.
Once you cross the pass, you can continue toward until Darbaza-Tash. From here we get to Sary-Mogol by car. Overnight in guesthouse
Day 9. Arrive back to Osh
Morning after breakfast, at 8a.m you can get to Osh by share taxi or private car as you want (by prior warning)
