Osh is the second capital of Kyrgyzstan, famous for its more than 3,000 years of history. The city is known for its traditional way of life, influenced by both Uzbek and Kyrgyz cultures. It is located at an altitude of 970 meters above sea level.

Upon arrival at Osh International Airport or at any locations of Osh city, we will pick you up by car and transfer you to the Kichik-Alay region via the Osh-Papan road. The drive takes approximately 3 hours (95 km). The road is unpaved, and transportation is by 4WD jeep.

Upon arrival in the picturesque fairytale-like village of Kojo-Kelen, you will have a light walk for acclimatization. Accompanied by a local guide, you will visit the «Blue Cave Pool» grotto, located beneath a rock. The journey continues with a 30-minute walk to the waterfall. Other short walks will take place around the village.

Kojo-Kelen is situated at an altitude of 2,240 meters above sea level and stretches for approximately 7 km. Before dinner, you will take an acclimatization hike. In the evening, you will enjoy dinner at a guesthouse. Overnight stay in the same place.

Note: Guesthouses are simple, with mattresses on the floor. 3-4 people will share one room.

In the morning, you will wake up to fresh, clean mountain air. Breakfast will be served at around 08:00. The host will provide you with lunch boxes, and porters will carry heavy luggage.

The trek begins along the pristine, rushing Ak-Buura River, which provides water to the residents of Osh and Andijan (Uzbekistan). As you ascend, you will witness unique mountain formations, juniper forests lining both sides of the trail, and untouched landscapes.

Upon arrival at the campsite near the foot of Jiptik Pass, you will be welcomed by Bolot and his wife Erkinai, who will prepare dinner in a yurt.

Trek profile and accommodation:

  • Approximate trekking distance: 14 km (8.7 miles).
  • Hiking time: 5 hours (excluding lunch and breaks).
  • Ascent/descent: 1000/10 meters.
  • Altitude of overnight stay: 3,040 m (9,975 ft).
  • Electricity & network: No electricity, internet, or signal (a power bank is recommended).
  • Accommodation type: Yurt (traditional mattress on the floor, no beds, 3-4 people per yurt).
  • Toilet: Shared, outside.

Breakfast at 08:00. Ascent to Jiptik Pass (4,185 m).

The trail follows an old path Soviet-era road. The climb to the pass takes about 3 hours. From the top, you will enjoy breathtaking views of the eternally snow-covered Pamir-Alay mountains, including Lenin Peak (7,134 m).

The descent follows an ancient auto trail leading to a site called Darbaza-Tash («Stone Gate»). From here, our driver will pick you up and transfer you to yurt camp in Tulpar-Kol.

  • Approximate trekking distance: 35 km.
  • Hiking time: 15 km – 5 hours on foot, then 10 km – 30 minutes by car (excluding lunch and breaks).
  • Ascent/descent: 830/1,230 meters.
  • Altitude of overnight stay: 3500m.
  • Accommodation type: Yurt camp (twin, double and sheared beds are available).
  • Electricity & network: there is solar light and phone charge / Available (Megacom, Beeline, O, Wi-Fi) for connection.

The trek to Advanced Camp is an unforgettable journey that takes you past the Base Camp of Lenin Peak and the breathtaking Traveler's Pass, standing at an altitude of 4120m. After approximately 6-7 hours of trekking, you will arrive at Advanced Camp, also known as Camp 1, situated at 4400m above sea level.

This camp is located in a cold, snowy environment, with snow permanently covering the Peaks. From here, the views are truly incredible—you'll have a sweeping panorama of the majestic Lenin Peak, towering above you like a snow-clad giant. Standing so close to this iconic peak is a humbling and awe-inspiring experience.

Total distance: 14km.

Hiking time: 7hours (excluding lunch and break time).

Ascent/Descent: 1020/140 meters.

Highest and lowest points: 5100/3500 meters.

Accommodation altitude and type: Tent on the wooden floor with matrass (Need to take your sleeping bag) and altitude is 4400.00 Meters | 14435.70 Feet.

Connection: there is no signal but Wi-Fi in 5G (star link) is available.

After breakfast, begin your ascent to Peak Yukhin, standing at an impressive altitude of 5130m. This is one of the ideal acclimatization peaks, allowing climbers to reach the summit without the need for crampons or ropes (usual form) However, the climb demands significant physical effort and determination to reach the top.

Upon successfully reaching the summit, take a moment to enjoy the breathtaking views and capture unforgettable photos. After a brief rest at the peak, descend back to Tulpar-Kol. From there, drive to Sary-Mogol, concluding this adventurous journey.

Accommodation type: Guesthouse (Alay travel house). The rooms have double, twin and single beds with hot showers and water running toilets.

Connection: there is electricity, internet (Wi-Fi) and signal.

Food: lunch-box on the way and dinner will be prepared by cooking team in guesthouse.

There are sheared taxi and bus from Sary-Mogol to Osh every day morning between 06:00 - 07:00 Just needed to book evening before leaving day. There is no special point of leaving the owner of the guesthouse has to book for pick up at your location.
